This day is open to all and will introduce the essence of the Longchen Path of training, based on Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's instruction to Rigdzin Shikpo - to never turn away from our experience, always having the courage and open heartedness to turn towards whatever arises in a simple and direct way. This is also the title of Rigdzin Shikpo's recent book.
The day will explore the four truths of the Buddha's teaching in a way that is pertinent to present times and culture. It willl be a helpful way to being the practice of turning toward the immediacy of the present.
The day follows the Heart of the Buddha public talk at Oxford Town Hall on the evening of June 20th which will be a rare opportunity to hear a public talk by Rigdzin Shikpo and where he will also be signing copies of the book.
It is a good opportunity for sangha members from local groups across the country to meet together to study and practice dharma at a venue with long associations for Longchen Foundation.
