Arthur Rhodius

In his late twenties Arthur studied and practised Buddhism, first under the guidance of Rosina Eaton of Sutton Coldfield and later, under the supervisions of Geshe Damcho of Lam Rim and Lama Thupten of Karma Ling.

In his early thirties, he received instructions from Rigdzin Shikpo (then Michael Hookham) on several, auspicious occasions in Sutton Coldfield, in London and in Oxford. The connection to Rigdzin Shikpo deepened with the passing of time and eventually Arthur in his late thirties became his student and has been his student ever since.

Rigdzin Shikpo has authorised Arthur to teach the Lion’s Roar programme. Following his retirement from employment in 2006, he is now establishing local Longchen groups in Erdington and in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham; where he delivers the Lion’s Roar programmes to the Midlands public.

Arthur’s employment experiences ranged from telecommunications technician apprentice with Oxford Telephones to curriculum development manager at Matthew Boulton College and technical education consultant to BMW Cars.

He is a graduate of the Open University and a product of the University Of London Institute Of Education.

He is married with three children.
