David Hutchens

David has been involved with Longchen Foundation since 1978 after an ‘apparently by chance’ encounter with Alf Vial and Rigdzin Shikpo (Michael Hookham as he then was). He ran the Longchen class at the London Buddhist Society during the period when Rigdzin Shikpo was making his three year retreat and was authorised to teach by him in 1995.

David teaches regularly in the South East London Longchen group and at Path of Freedom and Lion’s Roar events.

He is the editor of ‘Never Turn Away, the Buddhist Path Beyond Hope and Fear’ by Rigdzin Shikpo (Wisdom Publicatons, 2007).
