Central to the Mahayana path are the six Paramitas, the transcendent virtues or perfections of the Bodhisattva. By entering into the vast compassionate activity of generosity, discipline, patience, energy, and meditation, and uniting these with the wisdom of the profound view, the Bodhisattva spontaneously acts to benefit others.
In this single day course we will look at the Paramitas and how they relate to our Dharma practice, both in meditation and daily life.
This teaching is part of the Path of Freedom course. It is open to all, and will be of particular interest to people training in the Lion’s Roar and other Longchen Foundation courses.
This day will be taught by David Hutchens. David has been involved with Longchen Foundation for some 30 years and is a regular teacher on the Lion’s Roar and Path of Freedom courses. He is editor of Rigdzin Shikpo’s recent book, ‘Never Turn Away: the Buddhist Path Beyond Hope and Fear’.
