Local Groups - Leigh on Sea

The group meets on Tuesdays 7.30pm - 9pm In Leigh

The group is run by Moira Brown and has been running in it's present form since 2008. The group has students of varying levels and is always open to new students. We start each session with at least 30 minutes of formless meditation.

Following the meditation session there is a short talk with a question and answer session at the end.

The talks cover a very wide range of topics, The history of Buddhism, The Longchen approach to meditation and practice, the fundamental ideas attitudes and beliefs that are central to a Buddhist view and the Longchen view in particular, plus practical help and support with meditation. Discussion and questions are encouraged.
Often the topics will continue for several weeks. The teachings are always presented from the Mahayana Maha-Ati perspective of the Longchen foundation, combining the Dzogchen (Maha-Ati) view with the compassion of the Mahayana.
