We become the answer to all our questions and an expression of awakening in the world, for the sake of ourselves and others. At that point the path is complete. Further training
For those who wish to, the Longchen Foundation offers the possibility of being introduced to the complete path of Mahayana Maha-Ati (Dzogchen) teachings. Each stage of further training requires completion of those before it, and an increasingly strong sense of connection with and committment to the teachings, the central teacher and the community of practitioners.
Endless Compassionate Vision
The Endless Compassionate Vision programme shows us how to truly relate
to love, wisdom, compassion and joy. Using practices that increase our
understanding of our connection with others, our ability to help both
ourselves and others increases. The programme also shows us how to relate
to and receive help from those further along the path than ourselves – Buddhas,
Bodhisattvas and the teachers we can encounter in our daily life.
Students must have completed the Lion’s Roar programme and covered core Path of Freedom topics to begin Endless Compassionate Vision training.
Longchen Heart Essence
The Longchen Heart Essence teachings are open to suitably qualified students
who wish to deepen their experience of the Mahayana Maha-Ati by undertaking
further training. This training leads to a realisation of the unity of
mind, body and environment by working directly with the adhisthana, or
sustaining power, of the mandala of the Longchen lineage. These practitioners
become the community of those who preserve the life of the tradition,
look after the material needs of the tradition and are trained to pass
those teachings on to others. It is from this group of students that
the teachers of the Longchen Foundation come.
Students must have completed Endless Compassionate Vision programme.
Post Abhisheka World
A senior student with a very special connection to the Longchen lineage
and tradition may enter into the heart of the mandala through the conferring
of abhisheka by the central mandala teacher and the lineage. Working
directly with teacher and mandala in this way leads to realisation.
Lineage holders and principal teachers will be chosen from these closest students. By following the path of training to its end they will be able to truly pass on the authentic teachings of the Buddha and his realisation to future students of this tradition.
