About Us
The Lewisham group has been meeting since the year 2000. The classes are taught by Caroline Cupitt, David Hutchens and Kathy Nairne, all of whom live locally and have been studying, practising and teaching the Mahayana Maha Ati teachings of Rigdzin Shikpo for many years.
Those attending are a mixture of experienced students and complete beginners who meet weekly to practice meditation together and to deepen their understanding of the Buddha’s teaching.
The core teaching involves the development of the view of complete openness towards all experience, both through the practice of formless meditation and in everyday life. Once or twice a year we run short courses (4-5 weeks duration) focusing on the main elements of formless meditation. At other times topics from the Path of Freedom course are presented.
If you are interested in attending the group or for more information please contact David or Caroline via southlondon@longchenfoundation.org
