This day considering mindfulness will be taught by Cindy Cooper and is open to all.
An introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, bringing mindfulness practice into working with difficulties in life. Mindfulness is learning to pay moment-to-moment attention to the breath, the body, the mind and the world around us without judgement. Instead of struggling to get rid of our difficulties, we learn to simply be with our immediate experience, as it is. Cindy, a student of Rigdzin Shikpo Rinpoche, has been practising in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for over 30 years and is a trained counsellor and psychotherapist. She is a staff trainer for the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University and is their London Consultant.
