Cinema Shikpo: Openness Clarity Sensitivity Part III

Fri 17 Dec 2021 @ 5:00 pm 6:30 pm

When you think of the kleshas, which are the poisons .… they’re not emotions and they go on from moment to moment.

For delusion, this is where you don’t see the true nature of your experience.  Not for a moment – in every moment to moment you don’t see it.  Then there’s a lust for existence which is the second one.  And that goes on from moment to moment as well.  And the hatred or the wish to destroy or wipe away – treat as non-existent – enlightenment, awakening – that exists from moment to moment as well.

Because these three things exist from moment to moment, that’s why you can live your ordinary life.  However, having said that, it’s not quite true to say these things exist with you continuously from moment to moment. Because if that were literally true without any break then it would not be possible to become an awakened person. There’s always gaps.
