Longchen Retreat, Waldhaus Germany

This on the ground retreat is meant for all of us, who are inspired to keep the vision of Rigdzin Shikpo alive.

The only prerequisite is that you have completed Lion´s Roar Gate 3 at any time.

Rigdzin Shikpo came to Waldhaus for over twenty years and enjoyed staying there very much. This Buddhist retreat centre is wonderfully located and has a very good connection to Longchen.

The retreat schedule will include

1. Silent periods every day until after lunch
2. Formless meditation together with all participants first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening
3. The opportunitiy to split up in smaller groups for practicing your current programme (Lion’s Roar, Endless Compassionate Vision or Longchen Heart Essence)
4. Ganacakra at the end of the retreat
5. Shared meals (full board included in the rate) and light housekeeping at the retreat center
6. The opportunity do go for walks in the forest and to the vulcano lake
7. The opportunity to visit the famous monastery Maria Laach at the lakeside

All equipment (meditation mats, cushions, benches, blankets, etc.) will be available at the Waldhouse.

Tea, Coffee and drinking water are available free of charge troughout day and night.

Joint assistance in preparing veggies etc. for lunch and keeping the house clean is customary.

Please note that there are very few rooms with ensuite bathrooms available.

Retreat 27th September – 1st October 2023 (4 nights):

Course fee per person single payment 88,00€

Start on Wednesday, 27th September 2023 with supper at 7 pm.

End on Sunday, 1st October after lunch at 2 pm or depending on train/flight departures.

Train from Frankfurt International Airport to Andernach train station (approx. 2 hours by train)

Taxi to Waldhaus or pick up by private cars at Andernach (approx..15 Min. by car)
